Dean of the Communications Faculty of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile
Eduardo Arriagada is Dean of the Communications Faculty of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile where he had been professor of the Journalism School since 1988.
He had work in the consultancy for the La Tercera, El Diario Financiero and El Mercurio newspapers, among other national and foreign media. He worked as head of communications for the Central Bank of Chile. He is member of international editorial board of Communication and Society (Navarra) and Telos Magazine (Madrid) and part of the pool of external assessors of the The International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) at Poynter. In 2016 he receive in Burgos the award of the Ibero-American Congress on Social Networks (iRedes). Author of “Tsunami Digital” (2013).
He is a journalist of the same university and holds an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid.
